About the Workshop
In this free 5-session workshop you will reduce your carbon footprint and get prepared for emergencies. Taking simple actions like trimming energy and waste, utilizing clean energy, conserving water, and making smarter transportation choices can save money too. You’ll see the positive results of your actions and help build a stronger and safer community. Plan to attend all 5 meetings, but, don't worry if you can't make one, you will be able to make it up!
How it Works
- When you participate in the free Resilient Neighborhoods workshop series, you and your Climate Action Team meet 5 times over 10 weeks.
- You calculate your starting carbon footprint, then choose from a menu of over 100 actions to reduce household CO2 emissions by at least 5,000 pounds per household.
- You'll learn about rebates available now for energy efficient home improvements.
- Even if you've already "done a lot," you'll discover many new earth-friendly strategies.
- Once complete, data from teams will be provided to local governments to show that residents are doing their part to help with climate change.
Our Reach
Resilient Neighborhoods has helped over 2,000 Marin residents reduce over 13 million annual pounds of carbon pollution, which is like taking taking 2,530 Marin homes off the grid permanently.
