Qualified Charitable Distributions

These simple-to-arrange donations are income tax-free distributions from your IRA that also satisfy some or all of your Required Minimum Distributions. These distributions are not reported as taxable income on your tax returns (nor are they considered charitable deductions).

To qualify for a Qualified Charitable Distribution:
- You must be 70½ or older when you make your donation.
- Your IRA custodian must make the distribution directly to Resilient Neighborhoods, a fiscally sponsored project of Sustainable Marin (EIN 94-3308034).
- Your qualified charitable distributions can total up to $100,000 per year.
